Rails to Trails TrailNation Summit
Several of our board members will be attending the Rails to Trails Conservancy’s TrailNation Summit Oct 27 - 29 in Cleveland, Ohio. This summit is where the vision of trail networks at the center of healthy, thriving communities becomes reality. Participants will be immersed in a learning experience designed to gain the skills and build the necessary connections with professionals and advocates from different fields, geographies, and areas of expertise to accelerate the development of country’s 150+ trail networks.

Muncie Fall Festival
Muncie is off US 150, just a 20-minute drive east of Champaign or 10 minute drive west of Danville, an easy exit off I-74 and right along the Kickapoo Rail Trail corridor. Come join the fun with vendors, food trucks, wine, live music, petting farm, Joyful Bubbles, face painting, car show, art show, and so much more.

Vermilion River Fall Festival
This year marks the City of Danville’s 50th Anniversary of the Vermilion River Fall Festival. Join the fun in the heart of Ellsworth Park from Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21 for a weekend full of crisp air, cozy vibes, and unforgettable moments with family and friends. Enjoy local vendors, seasonal shopping, pumpkin and mum sales, kids’ inflatables, food trucks, live entertainment and so much more.

River to Rail Ride
The River to Rail Ride Fundraising Event for the Kickapoo Rail Trail is back this year on September 13, 2025.
Hosted by the Vermilion County Conservation District, the event will have four routes starting at Kennekuk County Park with all proceeds benefiting the continued development of the Kickapoo Rail Trail. 63-mile, 50-mile, 30-mile and 7.5 mile routes are available. We'll be on-site with our trailer along the Rail Trail in Oakwood. Stop by and say hi!

Urbana Farmers Market
Stop by and chat all things trail with us at the next Urbana Farmer's Market. We're generally there from 8am to 12pm in the spring and fall, and share a booth on the south west end with our good friends at Champaign County Bikes.
